The third event of this year happened on 18th May 2019 titled “Introduction to Scrum Framework” by Sankaranand Balaradjou. You can read more about the event here. About 20 members have signed and 8 members have attended the event.
Unlike other events, this was different, where the participants can have a real-time experience of running a project using Scrum. So we covered the whole event in terms of 2 sprints, thus allowing participants to collaborate and exercise Scrum as the event progresses. This event lasted for almost 4 hours with a small snacks break after 2 hours or in other words I would say after sprint 1 is completed. In parallel, the event was also live-streamed on Facebook for people who cannot make it.
There are no projectors or slides used in this event, everything happened with the use of Chartboards and sticky notes. We created almost about 20 charts to cover the scope and to start running a project using the Scrum framework.
Thanks to our presenter Sankaranand for his efforts to create all the charts and running a 4-hour session to cover the basics of the Scrum framework. At the end of the event, the participants have a pretty good understanding of Scrum framework basics and the confidence to run a project using it.
